Don't Tase Me, Bro...because I love you.

You may be asking why I didn’t put an exclamation point at the end of “Don’t Tase Me, Bro” like everyone else who mentions this story. Because I’m a romantic, that’s why. I see the blue shirted guy attending the John Kerry lecture at the University of Florida who got the free shock treatment is a modern day Romeo, or Hamlet, or some other weepy Shakespearean dude like that. When he got jumped on by roughly thirty seven cops and ten police dogs along with having that police helicopter fly up his butt, he didn’t do it as an act of hate or violence or political disturbance.  He did it for love. True, it was mainly love for himself and the sound of his own voice, but love nonetheless. And he wasn’t screaming “Don’t Tase Me, Bro!” to be loud or disruptive. No, he almost whispered it, “don’t Tase me, bro,” and I can almost imagine that he wanted to add “because I love you.” It probably wasn’t romantic love for the officer who was about to light him up like big blue Christmas tree.  It was more than likely a more universal love for the environment, for the earth, for all of us.

Then again, it was probably because he didn’t really think the officer would actually do it. I’m sorry. That’s just a personal rule I have and always follow. No matter how right I think I am about some political philosophy or whatever, the guy with the Taser is righter.

Anyway, this design is for the guy in the blue shirt who only wanted to be loved.
